What "Developer Trade Price" Actually Means
Why the same head-brand products a top Chinese developer installs can reach an overseas project 15–30% below the usual trade layer — and what stays transparent along the way.

When a Chinese developer builds a flagship tower, it does not buy materials one SKU at a time. It buys through a centralized procurement system that aggregates decades of volume, standardises specifications and negotiates directly with the head brand.
That structure — not a trading margin — is what produces the developer trade price.
Where the difference comes from
- Volume aggregation. Hundreds of projects worth of demand become one negotiation.
- Specification standardisation. Repeatable specs remove the cost of one-off sourcing.
- Direct brand relationships. No distributor tier sits between the factory and the site.
What stays transparent
We publish a 15–30% indicative saving range rather than a single headline number, because the exact figure depends on category, spec and order volume. Every quote line traces back to a head brand, its rank, and its base of supply.
The point is not the cheapest price. The point is the developer's price — with the reasoning shown.
